Manticores and Thunderbird

Have been going through old stuff. This one's not dated, but it must be from around 2003. Acrylics on board. Four Manticores and a Thunderbird (Argentavis Magnificens)

Aleksei Balabanov R.I.P.

This drawing (from Y2K) was heavily inspired by Of Freaks and Men by Aleksei Balabanov R.I.P. It's about pornographers in St. Petersburg around 1900 and how they bring about the downfall of a wealthy bourgeois family. He did many other fascinating films, like Brat, Morphia, the brutal Cargo 200, A Stoker and his swan song, Me Too (2012).

Posh Pets Standoff

A recent collaboration between myself and Zeke Clough.

Twin saints

Working again on my book about medieval saints, because it's now possible to do it in full colour. The digital revolution has not been kind in many ways, but one of the nice side-effects is that the difference in price between black & white and full colour was greatly dimished.
This is a random page from a random chapter taken from the book, a six-pager about twin saints Ada and Oda. I am not trying to forge the use of colour in manuscripts, though. (If you want perfect forgeries, Alkbazz is the man to call) The art is just inspired by that particular use of colour contrast.

Two interesting film clips

I saw a bit about this in a documentary about grindhouse films. I found it hilarious. A father and daughter clothes shopping...

This is has become a popular "bad" death scene, but I actually find the effect of it quite interesting and not really poor at all, even if it is funny.

I actually have a good few drawings to upload but I'm still waiting for my family to go and get the new computer so I can scan them in and catch up on all this stuff I've missed because I've only had access to other peoples computers.

Moby Dick

My friend Hillary is a big fan of the book "Moby Dick" So I made this for her.

DOLLMATRIX + KRILL + INTO THE FOG COMIC RELEASEPARTY!

So yeah, as it already states above, it'll be a releaseparty here in Berlin for the "Dollmatrix"-comic next week! But what it doesn't say is that Dollmatrix is a comc i've drawn together with Zeke Clough(UK) + Marc van Elburg(NL), since around 2006. And this "Krill" is a li'l cool zine done by my very good friend Oska "Wald" Hassler of the punk/beat-band Chuckamuck, from Berlin! And last, but not least..this "Into the Fog" is the incredible strange comix by Markus Lesmeister, who lives in Germersheim in the south of Germany. This li'l zine will be the very first collection of his weird comix ever brought out in public!

Linocut

yo

here some new linocut i did those days. Actually 2 are lino & one is PVC-plastic. Those 3 are made after a quick sketch done on linoplate, then i just move out as it is. The one on PVC, as it's glossy plastic, was mostly made after erased drawing, I wasn't sure of result
