Skeleton Men

As my characters tend to be thin, i did these studies of famous skeleton men who toured the sideshow cirquit. From left to right: Percy Pape, Dominique Castagna, Slim John Malone, Glen Pulley, Isaac Sprague, Pat Robinson and James Coffey, all after photos in a book by Leslie Fiedler on the subject of circus freaks.

A quick charicature of one of the leading scientists of the Italian Renaissance, Ulisse Aldrovandi. An image search on his name will yield the weirdest woodcuts of freaks of nature.
