Butterflies & Bats

I made this collage for my significant other. I never, never make art for other people, so I have some mixed feelings about it - it's not really representative of my work or the direction it's headed in. But I made it with her in mind, and she seemd to love it, so I'm glad. If I can't make any money from this stupid stuff, at least I might make one or two people happy (too bad one of those people isn't me!).

The piece measures 24 x 31"

That really is beautiful. Really. You have added beauty and joy in a miserable world. Well done.

Yes, I really like it, too. There's a long line of great works of art that was done for someone's love or children. It really shouldn't make you uncomfortable.

I'm going to buy one of your collages someday soon, JEffrey. Not only out of pity, mind you...

Thanks, everybody. I don't mean to come off as a sad-sack, haha. I'm sure you all know where I'm coming from -- it's tuff to make a living at this, and that plays havoc with your intentions, and round and round, etc.

Anyway, I'm really glad Luke invited me to join this blog - everyone's work here is so impressive and inspiring - I've even been drawing more (in my sketchbook, at least) despite telling myself I had quit for good.

Okay, back to work (and by "work" I mean, naturally, internet porn.)
