This was colored pencil, which I picked up a few years ago. The problem is my scanner here at work - it just doesn't get those lighter tones and so my drawings come out a lot less smoother on screen than the originals.
As far as the B&W logo I use Sakura Pigma pens. They maintain pretty consistent blacks and dry super quick. They scan nicely as well.
I had a book when I was a kid about this baker who left his kids at home for the first time. The children decided to make their own bread but added too much yeast and it ended up filling the house. When the dad got home he freaked out but then he cut some of the bread and found it to be delicious. It just dawned on me that the way I draw these cuts and stumps is based on the way that sliced bread looked! I'll have to see if my mom still has that book.
Damn, Dingus got himself into some trouble! Well should teach em for trying to make out with slaughterhouse machinery! Next time turn it off before you pull the moves!

The severed areas are really fun. I'm kind of obsessed with those clean cuts in drawings. Sergio Aragones was the first person i saw doing those.
