The first one immediately made me think of an amusement park dark ride. Not sure why, could be the sort of tunnel like design o the left.

I like the first one and the last one the most. Great stuff, as always.

Somehow your drawings remind me of some east European comics styles. I’ll find you some day the artists‘ names. It’s elegant. “The dad”: I used to play some music in sort of an urban cellar. There were loads of craps on the floor and graffitis all over the walls. One of them was: “I am you father”. The fact that is was addressing the reader, the fact that it was written in one of the trashiest place of the city and its meaning was really emotional and disturbing at the same time. Mmmm anyway...

Ah yes as well I like the new EDB banner. Gold and black.

These look great. Are you interested in making stories at all?

I don't think I'd be into making comics. I think they are too demanding; What you draw in one panel determines what you must draw in the next, etc. - BUt I am working on a series of drawings called SLEEP CULT that I think I might make into a zine/booklet thing.
Who knows though. Maybe I'll make some pretty abstract comics someday..

I like some Eastern European comics a great deal. There were a couple of STRIPBURGER anthologies that came out in the late nineties that were a big deal to me..

The middle image is for my friends' band THE DAD IN COMMON.

I'm still not entirely certain about this drawing style. Part of me still wants to get a little bit more technical, to make some lines more dynamic and varied. I like a lot of the forms, but I think maybe the brush is too clunky..
Maybe I can mix it with pen...

Stripburger is super cool. I used to live in San Diego which allowed me to occasionally get over to Meltdown in LA where they have all kinds of non-American comics. It's so easy to feel like you're aware of all the cartoonists working now who make anything of value, but there's always lots of weird shit you don't know about. And I don't think you need to get more technical - sometimes that takes away the clunky elegance. I hope you publish that zine someday!

These are cool. I like the imagery. I don't think i'm so hot on the whole intentionally dodgy line work trend thing, especially when i've seen your more standard line work, but it does add a certain dimension to this stuff. Who knows!?

First, this is a crappy way to show drawings, i click on the images and it takes me to a even smaller version of the drawing?

Really, these are too small to judge, but i'm not that impressed, they're fine as sketches, but they seem, dunno, half cooked? i know you got much more to say than this.

On the bright side, Sleep Cult is both a brilliant concept and title.

Oh, and my best pal and only local Cartoon Ally, Mr Alejandro Alvarez, was in STRIPBURGER Nº 37 with a great strip about... snails, check it out if you can, 's funny stuff.

Nothing about my approach is final. Sometimes I relish laying down concerted and solid lines, sometimes I feel a need to be as spontaneous as possible.Right now, I'm having a hard time doing both at the same time. It's an either/or right now.
I agree that these drawings lack a certain something, but I'm wary of getting too wrapped up in technique, or trading slickness for the kind of grotty , raw quality I'm into right now.
I think as I go, the two will meld a bit.
Another problem that I have is that the real ink skills I have are all in creating modeling type effects; I'd much rather keep the imagery flat right now, or just off flat, so my skillz don't really apply.
It's all an experiment right now. I needd to shake things up a bit and let loose...

Oh, and the image size thing has to do with the "new and improved" photobucket. You can see them larger on my Flickr page.

What's the correlation with sleep cult?
