3 Years of EBD?

Almost three, that is. I just spent a few minutes trolling through our venerable archives; It's amazing and awesome to see how much we've all developed. Even the guys who seemed to be on a clear path from the get-go have progressed quite a bit.
Found a couple of gems, including this one. I'd forgotten about it completely...
By the way, the cartoonists' name was/is Aaron K.. I think he still does comics and recall coming across his livejournal a while back..Also think he might contribute to the Same Hat stuff.
Hope there's no bad blood.

Wondering in a general way about how you guys feel about the blog, where it should go, etc.,.

Also, David Paleo please come back!

Outside of a few stagnant periods, this place has been constantly churning out a lot of amazing imagery. We've maintained the core of the original artists involved here and added some great talent since then. This is one of the few blogs out there that has this many artists participating and continuously communicating ideas back and forth. It's a fun place to see and to read and to participate in.

It would be great to have female artists participating in EBD so it's not such a boy's club and an EBD zine'd be cool too.

That's right Zeke. Remember guys, you have to send me stuff for the Livre sans poche Zine.

I'm very glad to have been part of this blog... i was looking for something along these lines after Art Dorks disappeared, i thought the discussions on there were pretty great, even when i'd log in at 3 in the morning, drunk out of my mind & upset the monster portraiture guy & the trendy color renderer guy. I feel like the content of EBD has been consistently challenging & varied & generally not boring, as long as you don't count Berlatksy's endless numbers of absract scribble drawings of gods, which upon second look are a little more interesting, but there were way too many of them. The latest plague of this blog is the internet-malaise, which hasn't been hitting me lately, but i definitely suffered from it a while ago. I don't know what the cure is for it, aside from just taking some time off from the glowing screen & getting grounded. I'm still not totally sure of how the internut fits into the whole scheme of things either, but i think it's here for good, so we should take advantage of it as best we can. All of the complaints i've heard about blogs were complaints i've read in zines in the late 80s, so if that helps to put things into perspective... Also as far as girls go... i personally like that EBD is a boys club. I'm married.

Thanks for that smug last comment Sean, very helpful.
Just trying to keep things interesting but never mind, lets all just be manly punkers and endlessly regurgitate the same tired cliches eh?

Hey, we had a girl here, for a short time anyway.

Also, new blood is a good idea. But then most new blood tends to only make a few posts then vanish. Although we've had a few stick around.

Well Zeke, i'm not suffering from these feelings, but if you want to "draw nice things for a change", have it mate.

Yeah, this blog is defintely rockin'. Having said that, some fresh blood probably wouldn't hurt. I very much enjoy the debates and arguments. Even though I may not partake in them as much. I think girls have lots to offer artistically. Especially in our territory, so I think it would be great to get some aboard.

thanks for the shoutout, Uland!

I went trough the EBD archives several times, and is worth it, tons of good stuff.

Yeah David, miss your posts on here.

More nudity, less Jeff Meyer.

What do you mean Jeff? One month ago you wrote that you were only using the internet to search for porn. Do you mean you want to copy and paste porn on the blog? Puritan hypocrisy is always charming.

Nudity would be a fine addition..

Nudity would sooner or later impose the blogger warning page when entering this place. I have no problem either way, just know that would happen. Speaking of... isn't Coop one of the luckiest bastards alive? Hahaha.
