Eaten By Ducks Zine

ebdcover

Okay, so i'm going to throw together an EATEN BY DUCKS ZINE. I'm debating about whether it should have a theme or not. But the above image is the cover, done in my new "SINCLAIR ZX SPECTRUM" style. There will be a color back cover, & color inside front & back, so let me know if you want to do one of those. It'll be standard half-size, so final work should be black & white, bit mapped, 300 DPI tiff fitting to 8"x5", whatever page orientation you want. Deadline, soon.

Yep, I really like this design Sean, wasn't too keen on the pixellated version but this is wonderfull, ace colours too.

Glad to hear people are on board. & thanks for the words about the banner, i'm working on doing digital collages from old video games & then redrawing them, so that's what was going on there. The computer system i pilfered the images from is called the SPECTRUM, i think it was like a British competitor to the C64 or something? Anyhow, it has really funky color splits where each group of objects is all colored the same, so that it ends up looking quite intentionally artistic, instead of just being limited technology. The machine had a fantastic music chip, not unlike the one for the gameboy. So yeah Zeke, the digital one was just like a "sketch" or something. Those old games have really great, abstract imagery.

That's an awesome process, Sean. I was wondering what the connection between the two versions was...
