Whoa! That second pic with the blue heads is fantastic! They're all great but that one is beautiful.

Fun collection of drawings. The colorful one in the center has a sort of 50's 60's illustration vibe which is interesting. You should consider doing something like that but working black ink drawings on top of each color spot to interpret into bacterial floating creatures.

I LOVE these, saw 'em for first time whilst half asleep and they were a great start to the day. The colours are ace and I enjoyed the diary comments from a voyeristic perspective into your life.
Just to give you a dose of the new tough guy EBD critique regime, I didn't like the blue heads one as much of the other's, tough talk eh?!
more of this stuff pleeese...

thanks all. no offense taken about any comments. I have been trying to play more in my sketchbooks. I would love to do some finished pieces in color. I also wish I had $ to print a book. oh well. glad you enjoy.

I love the tower man dude man. The pyramids. Love those. I agree with Zeke, the balloon blue heads are too sensitive for me, i like volume 15 on this shit. I like the tall bodies & the headlessness & even the balloon-ness, it's just the uniformity & blue-ness makes it feel like prozac nation which i must oppose in all its forms.

Here's an idea for the blue balloon pic that could make it more interesting. Set up a composition with a large number, like twenty or more of the blue balloon people standing around, add some blue balloon dogs, some blue balloon birds, then somewhere have one of the blue balloon people with a gigantic head that is all sorts of colors with a bike pump attached to their head and some other character pushing down on the pump from a distance?

ha. actually, I drew all these guys with the cut paper heads. Only the severed head was meant to be a balloon. I had been inspired by a piece I saw Laylah Ali do and thought I'd doodle similar muses. It is always fun to see how people interpret this crap.

Its hard to criticize sketchbooks 'cause, well, the whole point of sketchs is that is stuff done withouth thinking of consequences/criticism, isn't it?

anyway, i beg to differ, the blue headed ballooon drawing is a gag, and a funny one, besides the tortured multicrayoned stick bodies are really strong.
The third one has such vibrant colors! Its like a vacation on a page!
