Hot Air Balloon VS Giant Floating Octopus

I just had a great idea for an image. A hot air balloon shooting at a giant floating octopus type creature. And a small array of weird octo creatures flying around it, possibly with bat wings and little hats. This is going to be a digital collage and have an awesome starry sky background. I think the focal point will be the bright explosion from the hot air balloon against the night sky as it shoots a cannon at the octopus. I can't wait to have the time to work on this, which is going to be way too long from now.

Also, I think we need an official EBD jacket like Commander Mark so people know we're not fucking around. Of course we'll need to take out some crayons to make room for switch blades, cigars, rolled up porno mags and little mini bottles of Jack Daniels.

Aeron, i'm so down. I've been thinking about doing something like this since i saw & drew Pedro Bell's marker bandoleer. Gimmicks rule!

Heh heh, what a dude! is this guy well known in America?
The balloon sketch is great, looks like a panel from a really cool storyboard.

I'd never heard of him before, although after doing a little digging, i realized that he did this cartooning book given to me by my grandmother in-law that had the worst cartooning style i had ever seen in it & promptly sold.

I used to watch him - I learned some stuff from him - think about him form time to time. I loved his show. PBS I think.

"i don`t know if eels have tongues, but this guy does"

he didn`t add teeth on the other side of the gob, annoying.

Commander Mark is one of my original art teachers, through the television anyway! He taught me perspective and how awesome it is to draw holes with things peering out. And I just found a youtube page he has - http://www.youtube.com/user/MarkKistler

Here's a video clip from one of his drawing shows called Secret City, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkN9ZbhgCBM

The mural doesn't look too different from the subject matter of this blog.

Realy like that balloon/octopus concept, Aeron. Looking forward to see what you make of it...

BTW, I didn't know the place where you said your relatives live, Simmertal, so I looked it up on google. Turns out it's just about 50 miles from where I live right now. Looks like a romantic lttle town, too.

Wow. I woke up in the middle of the night a few days ago and thought to myself: "google image search Secret City". i think I used to watch it in 1985 or so and still have a couple pencil sketches I workd on around that time. It is pretty obvious by looking at some of my castle rawings that this guy had a huge impact on me.
