Doctor's Referral

Just a quick mention of a new post at my site - not my own work but a collection of old medical pics - if only because I figured some of you might be interested in this sort of imagery.

These are great! I'm psyched that EbDers might post stuff like this. I've got to dig my copy of ORAL SURGERY, printed in the early 50s.It's about 3000 pages.I dug it out of a dumpster behind a Dentists office in my old hometown. It's brootal.

I have a huge collection of deformed fetus photographs collected from over the years used in my digital works. Some really terrifying things out there. If you type deformed fetus into flickr that should pull up some .. unusual imagery.

Oh boy, i love these, i'll never forget that at my highschool, it became fashionable among us creeps to totter around medical books, i had big posters of deformed fetuses as decoration of my teenage bedroom...

Those were the days!

And yeah, i traded my huge Beckett collection for a couple of medical encyclopedias, but it was all translated to spanish Beckett, so it was a fair exchange

In America, Goodwill is a good place to find the most insane and grotesque medical books. I've found some of the most disturbing and morbid imagery in books piled up in that hand me down store.

I used to work at a Goodwill. I've got horror stories by the pound from that place. It was a great job in high school though. On my second day some guy brought in about 30 metal and punk albums from the early eighties and I grabbed them and stashed them in a plastic bag behind the building.

I don't get it - why is that fetus lacking wristbones and a kneecap?

Oh snap, I forgot Buddy BRadley did the same thing. I thought that same thought when I first read it, a few years after the job in question..
I still like HATE. I oughta pull those out...
I actually have a bunch of doubles if any of you EBDers are interested. I could send the media mail.

Good Question.
