Just a little Peeky Poo

OK, so I know, I havent posted crap yet but here is a start. I have been swampped with teaching middle school and child rearin'. I have also been working on some ceramics work in my spare time but here is a chunk off of a two page spread to be featured in the new Voida Voida Zine being printed on some old printing device in England. It is my typical mess o' stuff. The theme of the book is Horror Vaccui which, when applied to artists, deals with artists who are obsessed with filling space. The pages will be cut in the shape of a coffin. enjoy

hi chris, great stuff! it's cool to have you on the blog, I thought your pages for the first TCJ corpse were among the best entries.

thank you both. I had a lot of fun with the corpse but was frustrated with how it all went down. Wish there had been a book or something. I also sent one to the new corpse but dont know if it is still going. Sean? arent you in this? Anyhoo. Thanks. I have several new drawings coming both on paper and on clay.

Re: frustrated
I hear what you're saying... I did a cover and a three page index for the damn thing. Are you aware that the corpse is online here?:

I sure hope the second one works better.

Yeah the first one turned into a pretty miserable experience. I spent countless hours trying to pick up the pieces the Ray Tan or whoever that person was, left behind. The amazing thing though was that we were able to actually finish it and the website is a testament to the hard work everyone involved put into it, minus a few artists that I was never able to get ahold of in the rebuilding process of the first Corpse.

The second corpse is going to be a different thing altogether I think. We have names like Mat Brinkman, Hans Rickheit, Jeff Soto, Tobias Tak and a lot of other more established artists involved so, it's going to be easier to get something made of that.

Anyway, good to see you posting on here Chris.

Wow! Brinkman is in? Cool. Aeron, you are btw my hero. you picked up that miserable dead carcas and ran with it. I give you nothing but praise for it. Thank you for your work.

Thanks Christ, if anyone deserves praise for the first corpse it's Fufu. He did an amazing job on the intended front and back cover of the book as well as the index page. It's such a beautiful, grotesque and awesome design that it's a shame it's not seeing print. But who knows, maybe we can do something with it after the second one does whatever it does.
