INFERNO exhibition @ Le Monte en l'Air,Paris

Some pics from the show/presentation of Inferno, published in french by The Hoochie Coochie, in the excellent bookstore Le Monte En l'Air, 2 Rue de la Mare, Paris.
The exhibition with original pages from the book, prints, illuminations by Alkbazz and more stuff will be open until 2nd of July.

INFERNO en francais

Working on a new cover for the french edition of my graphic novel Inferno, scheduled for May this year. It will be printed as a lino cut. This is a really crappy test print, but for some reason I'm without oil-based inks, so it will have to do. Pleased with the design however. No mistakes. I do have to add the title, still. Now that's a challenge.


The linoleum proved to be good to handle. Not crumbly or slippery.

Inferno silkscreen

Just returned from Portugal, where this here silkscreen print has been done by Mike Goes West, in five colours, on a format of 50 x 65 cm. Quite happy with the results. Also, the Portuguese edition of my book Inferno by Mmmnnnrrrg/Chili Com Carne was presented at the Feira Laica, a neat underground festival in Lisbon:

Working on a silkscreen print for Portugese publisher Chili Com Carne. In five colours. This is a test of how it should look like when it's all done, so that is why the colours look flat. An anonymous medieval master provided the inspiration. Once again.

1348 and Inferno in Budapest

I just returned from Budapest, where I have been for a comics festival and an exhibition of pages from my upcoming book 1348 and Inferno (see above) which was translated into Hungarian in 2008 for Nyitott Konyvmuhely (don't ask me how that is pronounced) who also organised the festival. My show is part of a Dutch invasion which included other comic artists such as Joost Swarte (of RAW fame), Typex and the Lamelos crew. The whole deal is supported by the BKVB Art Fund in Amsterdam and the Dutch embassy. Quite an experience to be there! More information about the project can be found here: http://nl-hu.blogspot.com/
