Patsaspuisto
Holiday snapshot alert: these were taken in the Patsaspuisto ("sculpture park") in Parikkala, Finland, at walking distance from the Russian border. Over 500 cement life-size sculptures are to be seen there, so as remote as the place may be, it is... kind of crowded. They look bizarre, morbid to some, with their glass eyes and dentures (which the artist, Veijo Rönkkönen, obtained by mail from doctors) Check the link for more detailed information about this remarkable outsider artist.
Quite a personal pilgrimage.

Hee hee! I had to wait a few years to fulfill this personal pilgrimage.
Whoa. Very creepy. They look to me like what 3D versions of Uno Moralez's work would look like.
En plein air Outsider Artists leave every other human endeavor in the dust.
