A few screenshots from the recent "critical sensation" (which, to my mind, generally ends up meaning "uncritical sensation") Let the Right One In. Beware of "spoilers" as they say at AICN, haha.

ha ha!, funny to see this swedish film posted up here. i saw this in december here in berlin, 'n yeah it's a real good movie. but maybe not as good as the novel "laat den rätte komma in" by john ajvide lindqvist that it's based on! there's something in the book 'bout this li'l vampire chick eli, that they NOT decided to bring into the film. also that "her" father actually is anything else except "her" father...
I saw it last night. I thought it was pretty awesome. I initially wanted to reject it as some kind of fashion-shoot film, but I just couldn't resist the imagery.
I think they got across how her "father" wasn't that at all.
I'm going to watch it again tonight, I think.
The ending felt a little tacked on though. Thought it should've ended when she left the apartment complex.
yeah, i know that when watching the film you understand that the man probably isn't her father. but it also don't really tell us who/what he is. in the book you get to know more of this, but i don't wanna reveal too much here. all i can say is think paedophilia 'n stuff like that. 'n maybe eli isn't even a girl at all, huh...
I don't think I've ever seen so much snot in a single movie before. Don't they have Kleenex in Sweden?
no, not in the early 80's. kleenex was introduced to the swedish market on april the 1st 1988.
