The back cover of my 43rd sketchbook. This was done after Hieronymus Bosch's Calvary.
Its commissioner, kneeling in the corner, looks rather sickly. I imagine him to have ordered for this painting when he felt his end was nigh. Interestingly, an artist of Bosch's time would not touch up his appearance. Compare that to our age of botox and photoshoppery. And then his striking pants look like 1980s retro, but it's around 1480 AD.

Bosch ? this one really looks like Weyden/Memling/others flemish painting
It's not that typical-looking, but it's Bosch. There are quite some contested paintings, but this is not one of those, as far as I know.
Note the fantastical city in the backdrop.
