Medieval Entertainment
A new page from my book about Hieronymus Bosch. If the blind guys get to club the pig to death, they can have it and eat it. If they just club each other, they will have to go to bed without any bacon.

waw! wonderful drawing!
Yep, amazing! Very funny too.
Can't wait for that book!
Dieter: the book is not going to happen before 2016, i'm affraid. :-)
That will be the Jheronimus Bosch year. (he died in 1516)
Oh, okay...
In that case I'll wait patiently. ;-)
Swell page, Marcel! And with your commentary to go with it it's even funnier.
Thanks, but I am just stating the historical facts, FuFu!
Pigs would roam around in the filth of medieval cities. They were owned bij the city (stealing them could send you to the gallows, etc) and they were to be slaughtered at specific days, like Saint Martin's Day, the day on which this cruel game with the blind was held. For this reason they were given individual names referring to those holidays.
after all this sounds a bit like tauromachie
That's an interesting comparison, Alkbazz.
