cloud of unknowing

Don't usually do this sort of thing, but here seemed to be the appropriate outlet for it. Hm. 'This sort of thing.' Oh well.

Oh! No I'm not "this type of person" even though any comment generally is the best utensil for “this sort of outlet”.
I don’t think ignorance would lead to any holy peril: it has always been the surest way to manage people’s soul in the house of God. But I don’t give a flying angel fuck. Honestly I’m not that fond of justifying dumbness. I was just answering you. The concepts of Epoché and ataraxia interest me far more.

The work i posted would, i think, show too much of a discrepancy with the stuff on my own blog; the aggregate and diverse context of EBD looked more hospitable to it; I meant no discourtesy to this outlet.

I would say you’re not agnostic. As the rejection of the holy knowledge, the gnosis, aimed at the rejection of the people in the church who pretended this knowledge belonged to them, I find agnosticism interesting. But I am not agnostic.

i would, in fact, say i'm a believer, but no Gnostic.
But i find Gnosticism interesting.

Assuming, of course, that we´re talking here about the early Christian sects covered by the blanket term of gnostics, all the Valentinians etc. I am of course very much convinced that there is such a thing as Sacred Knowledge/γνῶσις, and that it can be attained without mediation, & experienced as directly as rain on your head.
