One must always confuse the artist & his work. It's more fun that way.
Furthermore, one must then confuse the work with its intentions, its interpretations with the artist again, until finally the viewer, horrified, peers into the mirror and finds his own reflection replaced by the artist's, while the artist, in a dim room somewhere, wakes up to find his face gone.
