Bang Bang sketch for "Gunman"

Last year I was a witness to 2 gun fights, one in which a person was killed. That happened in my neighborhood, right on my doorstep. The fighting was over drugs and territory. I sketched the idea for an ink piece, but really it was to get that shit out of my head- and on to paper.

P.S. I'm going on a 2 week excursion to Japan, so I won't be posting anything for awhile.

I like the idea of the gun meshed into the human form. You should run with it and interpret the figures further into the machinery of the weapon. Maybe an exposed ammo clip running down the spine of the left figure? I think excorcising something terrible out of yourself and into the art can give it a lot of power.

Have fun in Japan, if you get the chance you should hit up Miyazaki's Ghibli Museum - http://www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/

already have tickets my man, we actually had to fill out a reservation form to get them- you gotta do it weeks before.
It's cool you like the idea, I'm definitly gonna push it as far as it can go. Suggestion with the spine is a good one, thank you.

Man, it's time to move...
I did hear Philly was pretty harsh, but man, that's nuts.
I like the drawing tho. Has kind of a Steadman quality to it. It's so hard to balance a loose quality with anything to do with texture or detail.
Have fun in Japan and make sure to pick up some GARO.

I like the messy/envolvent line of this one a lot, you should really do a series out of this concept.

Not to be a dick and leave an anonymous critical comment, but that image is very similar to something in the cult film Tokyo Gore Police.

Not implying anything, happens all the time. Collective unconscious, right?
