My brain is terribly non-linear, so that's how my comics are. These pieces actually led to a big breakthrough in my paintings, which i should have already known, but i need to include words in my paintings & do them as enormous drawings. I thought i was already having a creative explosion but now there's been a series of secondary & tertiary explosions coming out of the central kaboom & it's almost overwhelming.

I’ve noticed the beret. I understand the joke but America has many peace-punks as well, hasn’t it? I have anarcho-punk zines which are not communist obviously. These guys are a minority and are either poor or very poor. Many of them lived or live in squats (which are often destroyed by the police) and really believe in the way they organize. Loads of punk concert would not take place if they were not there.
I'm not saying that the Peace Punk is French, it's actually a reference to Rick from the Young Ones, quintessential student Peacenik. The majority of anarchists are actually communists. They might constantly speak down about the state, but if they actually try to do anything, they use a communist model. I've spent lots of time with these people, i played drums for @//Political, Baltimore based Peace Punk band. They are contrary to the true spirit of Punk & Rock & Roll, but i suppose i like some aspects of what they do. CRASS is alright i suppose.
I understand what you mean by « anarchists are communists » (but historically their ideologies are opposed, Max Stirner’s writings refute communist theories and were entirely refuted by communists). I think during the 80s anarchists (with the black flag as a symbol) were essentially expressing political despair. But nowadays hybrids are ruling I guess. Well, I went to a punk concert and I was quite happy that there were more tramps (heavy ones, punk tramps…) than usual so the organizers (peace punks) could not prevent the mob to pogo.
I would not be surprised if at the moment there was more social consciousness in America than in France. I mean people are very much right wing here (the government even took away Romanian gypsies from France ; they are European so Brussels said it was contrary to the free circulation of people in EU but the French president arrogantly kept on his position! Well the gypsies came back but the opinion was satisfied).
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by 400 dollars on ebay but it is quite ridiculous that some fanzines on ebay are 5 time more expensive than elsewhere (including some which are not sold out)…

400$ on ebay is just a snide comment on punk record collecting. America is definitely turning more towards the left right now. There's alot of attention toward the radical right, but they are very marginalized, self-marginalized actually. Not unlike the American left in the 70s. Lunatic fringe, infested with government agents. etc. Anyhow, you're right about political hybrids, that's the way things will eventually go here once things settle down a bit. My vision is a strong socialist government with integrated corporate structure & some degree of a new form of social conservatism, not following old models, not Christian based either.
Yea sort of hybrids... Here the left themes which are now accepted by all are used by moderate right wing politicians to make polemics which usually belong to the extreme right! I mean when I was at boarding school there was a nationalist skin head (neo nazi, revisionist, truly violent and etc) in the dormitory. Most of the nights he went over the college wall to go on binges with other skins. A good friend of mine became one of them. Actually, these groups were quite common and in Europe the S.H.A.R.P seriously trained and fought with them. Nowadays I don’t see them anymore, everything seems mixed up. The extreme right isn’t as popular, however I think their ideologies are very often used by the moderate right.
I could easily see you making your own version of Mad or Cracked magazine with this sort of madness playing out in it.
