The first thing that popped into my head when I looked at this was a pinball machine. This design would make one killer pinbot! I love the hybrid mix of anatomy, machine and architecural motifs in this one.

..And I'm starting to appreciate the looser inking more and more. I do think though, I'd either go lots more black or none at all..
I'd love to see these as large scale posters. We could kick of the resurgence of the modern Polak poster..

Aeron, ha,at first I was like "pinball machiene- what the fuck?" then I actually pictured it. The image begin illuminated from inside-man that would be amazing, especially if you played it on 'shrooms. I'm glad you liked the different elements.
Luke, I hear you on the black ink. I guess that's something I'll have to figre out in the future. But that could be resolved better. On the Polish poster thing- I think thsoe days are long gone. From my expierence in Philly (and I tried) every theater company seems to have there "in-house graphic designer" so yeah, they really don't care. But if you have some sort of idea-let me know.
P.S. it hasn't escaped my attention that it's usually like the same three guys on this blog that comment on my artwork. I really appreciate the imput and the interest from you 3.

I think the Polak poster revival will probably look different than the original.I'm thinking more music stuff than theater. I think just making them and putting them up online is the only course to take, commissions be damned.

Isn't Dave McKean already a Polak poster revival in and of himself? I remeber reading somewhere that they're among his major influences.
