I saw a HUGE Matta retrospective at the contemporary museum of art in Chicago about 6 years ago. I'd been a fan for awhile but seeing his paintings in person really blew me away. He has a great balance of figurative and abastract style that lets your mind wander off in ten million directions in one picture.; September 27, 2008 at 11:30 PM
