Strange World Pages 1 - 10 of 40
I don't have any immediate plans to print this thing so I might as well let it be seen online. Here's my first attempt at making a comic. It was more an experiment in exploring my drawn fantasy worlds then trying to conjure any kind of story. It's just a voyage through a weird dream world. The plot is simple, a man is taken by a weird beast that transforms into a centipede like thing. It goes underground and through a dungeon like passage and on into a Strange World. I'll post the rest of it over the next week or so, here's the first 10 pages.

Hey aaron, I wish you would publish this story, it's frustrating trying to read it on the computer and it looks so good.... get it photocopied pleeeaaasse!
This is well good you sick monkey
Aeron,
Have you seen a Russian film called THE VIY? If not I think you'll dig it.
This is lovely. Have you seen Pan's Labyrinth yet? I think you'd really like the monster with eyes in his hands; and other stuff too. It's pretty darn good.
Thanks, yeah I've got a copy of VIY without subtitles. I love that scene at the end where the witch summons all the demons from hell in the old building. When all the figures walking backwards like crabs climb down the wall really creeps me out! And I gave in and downloaded a copy of Pan's Labyrinth a few months ago, it was amazing. I plan to see it whenever it hits theaters around me. I only wish there had been more of the fantastical elements but considering budget restraints I'm grateful for what we got. I emailed Del Toro a link to my digital art gallery back in April. He described it as "very barroque and crazy in a Peter-Witkin meets Escher and Piranesi kinda way. Very disturbing and powerful!"
Awesome director and person.
Oh and Zeke, I plan on widely distributing the first issue of Hob Bob sometime this year in print. That will be leaps ahead of this book and will be my first real and serious attempt at making an illustrated story book. I think if I ever end up doing a convention I'll print some copies of Strange World to help fill up the table. For now there's one printed copy and it's somewhere in Europe in the hands of Tobias Tak, one of my favorite modern comic artists.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Hob Bob, sounds like you've been working really hard on it.If you ever do print up 'strange world'though I'd really like to know about it!
Awesome stuff, can't wait for the rest.
Great stuff! I'd put this in an anthology right now, if I could.
